We decided to start a blog to keep people up-to-date on our adoption journey to bring our adopted daughter Katie home from China. As of today, we are waiting on the last step of paperwork approval from the CCAA (China Center of Adoption Affairs) called Travel Approval (TA). As soon as we receive this we will know the dates that we will travel to China to get Katie. Here is a timeline of our journey to Katie so far:
February 2007 - began the paperwork process
July 2007 - Homestudy completed
October 25 2007 - Log In Date (LID) - All paperwork to China
May 26 2009 - Referral of Katie to us by CCAA
July 22 2009 - Official Letter of Acceptance (LOA) from the CCAA
Waiting on - Travel Approval from CCAA, Travel to China
We will update the blog when we receive travel approval!
